The Challenge

Over 2,200 trees were planted in a national park as part of a large construction project for which PB Forestry was chosen as the Principal Contractor. Full compliance with Construction Design and Management (CDM) rules was necessary for the work, which was included in the client’s soft landscaping design. The location presented many environmental and logistical difficulties, such as the requirement for thorough vegetation clearance and cooperation with the rural ranger team. Before any work could begin, it was legally necessary to clearly define roles and duties, site regulations, and emergency protocols.

How PB Forestry Provided Solution?

In compliance with CDM rules and health and safety standards, PB Forestry created and executed comprehensive RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements) and a full Construction Phase Plan. Our team finished clearing the vegetation and started the plantation in collaboration with the client and rural rangers. The construction was carefully planned to adhere to ecological standards while honoring environmental sensitivity and public access to the park.

Result

The national park saw the successful planting of more than 2,200 trees, which promoted biodiversity and landscape restoration. By guaranteeing complete adherence to all CDM procedures and health and safety requirements, PB Forestry raised the bar for environmental responsibility on building sites. Now, a continuous maintenance program is in place, with planned monitoring to guarantee the plantation’s long-term prosperity.
